I was pretty disappointed upgrading to the Mac OS Big Sur beta and see that my legacy SL16.0.2 was no longer working with my MacBook Pro. I really hope Presonus can create a patch to keep this mixer alive on the new MacOS. The last patch for Catalina took almost 6 months! With the release of Mac OS X 10.13 (and 10.14 Mojave) have introduced some security challenges for installing our USB, Thunderbolt and FireWire interface drivers into the OS. There are some additional screens that you may encounter that you'll need to check off some boxes and possibly go through a reboot or two to get the older installs of.
| Hi, i have a problem. My PC: - Pentium Core i5 - with newest and clean Win10 Pro - 64Bit - 8GB RAM - 500GB SSD HD - FireWire (DeLOCK 3-port FireWire PCI Express Card - Chipset: 076240) Presonus Software: - Universal Control v1.7.4 for Windows - Capture 2 for Windows Version 2.2.2.39252 - Studio One 3.3.1 So i think everythink matches the minimum requirement. But when i look into the Device Manager in Win10, i found that my PC can not install the Drivers from the StudioLive 16.4.2 (Please see attached file). Can you tell me where to find the right Drivers or how to setup my PC? And is there any manual that explains how to start recording with StudioLive 16.4.2 to Studio One 3. Can someone help please? Kind regards |

| THNX! As you can read in my post, i have the right software installed. The one thing that is very interesting, is the firewire driver. But what has this driver to do with the Mixer? Firewire device seems to work correctly? Kind regards, |
| Does your PCI expesscard FireWire have a Texas Instruments chipset? Some of these cards do not really work for audio unless they have the Texas Intruments chipset. I don't recognize the brand you have listed which is why I ask. . . | Thnx, before i get the firewire Card, i checked if it was listed in the tested by Presonus Chipset list, and it was. So i think this could not be the Problem. But in the other Case i think it must have something to do with this Driver from that Card. |
| Cool you should be in good shape as far as the expresscard is concerned then. I have heard of people needing to use the 'legacy driver' for the firewire. I'm not exactly sure how to do that, but I have seen people on the forum here needing to do something like that. Try searching the fourm for 'legacy driver' or 'legacy firewire driver' or something like that and you might find some info on it. There is not a lot to find about this theme, but this one might be interesting, even though it concerns a 16.0.2: https://forums.presonus.com/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=20006. Maybe worth to try...?
